For us, an important purpose of a study trip is to show examples that there is an opportunity to study graphic design in other ways than in Denmark. It is characteristic of the Dutch art schools that many disciplines can be found under the same roof. Thus, as a graphic design student, you can be inspired by, for example, art, photography or interactive design. Therefore, on the trip we visited both the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam and the KABK in The Hague. In both places we were very lucky to have very qualified tour guides who shared their experience. We visited several interesting exhibition institutions both in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. When dealing with visual creativity it is important to seek out inspiration that you can use in the development of your own work. Finally, it was also possible for us to visit several graphic designers in their studios where they work. It is very rewarding to see how and how different graphic design can be managed. It is also a unique opportunity for our students, who can thus engage in direct dialogue with people who may reflect the dreams they themselves may have about the future.
