We had a short audio workshop of 2.5 days. The task started with the participants collecting real sound on the school grounds and the surroundings. The assignment formulated various characteristics of sound that would be fruitful to follow. Emphasis was placed on the spaciousness, texture, timbre, atmosphere and tactility of sound. From these collected sounds, a ‘soundscape’ of approximately 1 minute. The students worked in the application Logic. The use of modular synths was also introduced during the workshop.
