Visual artist, Kolja Gollub, has been a guest teacher at our design department for a week. In his workshop, students were to develop an eye for color through systematic experimentation. The workshop was based on the practical use of color to understand color effects.

A color can look very different depending on how it is combined with other colors. Students have gained an insight into how to make one and the same color look more color-intensive, make it look brighter or make it look like a different shade, just by combining it with other colors. After studying color on a flat surface, we ended the week by studying color in the three-dimensional.
