How do we create a completely new typeface? Or even a new alphabet? In this workshop, the students were challenged with the task to design or find a process that would design a typeface for them. Seemingly out of control, they developed lettershapes out of anything from trash or flower arrangements to yoga poses or the ripples of water. The result is an intriguing collection of experimental typefaces.
