This brief was about giving the students the opportunity to express their admiration and inspiration for different artists, persons, concepts, subcultures or phenomenons. This is a classic artistic discipline about acknowledging the influences and inspirations which governs your life and the decisions you make, regarding important artistic and personal choices. It was up to the students to decide which media to work in. The assignment ended with a presentation of the artworks and a discussion about values and their influence on the students’ lives. Art is concerned with values, both formal, artistic values and more personal, even private values. This was a good way to get to know each other a bit more.
