Spring 2026

why choice matters matters choice why

The exhibition “why choice matters matters choice why” emerged from investigations into painting and its potential.

The students have worked with techniques for building their own frames, stretching canvas, and preparing surfaces with rabbit skin glue. They have looked at existing young Danish art practices that challenge traditional ideas about painting.

The exhibition consists of a collective work on the ground floor and a student-curated presentation on the second floor of 18 individual works, spanning a wide range: from sand painted onto a blazer and debarked, constructed wood to cowhide with human blood, urine, and body fat on a copper plate.
