Nature as material. Which means the student could either use the nature as a motive as in f.ex. landscape painting or use the nature as a material/ressource as some Arte Povera artists like Penone or Pistoletto did or parallel to the Danish/Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson’s work. On the one hand nature is experienced as something intrinsically good and healthy as in the mindfulness business, on the other hand as something threatening and dangerous when we instead focus on the climate crisis or other natural disaster. The students have delivered a lot of powerful and thoughtful works as you can see from this collection of most of the works.
