The students have been working with deconstruction, using discarded shirts as their starting point. Through the process, they experimented with creating new forms and silhouettes. Each student worked with two shirts, which were first taken completely apart. Every component had to be incorporated into a new design—without being cut into smaller pieces—and could only be reassembled by sewing along the existing seams and edges.
The resulting works explore playful transformations of the body’s natural silhouette.
