A piece of furniture can be understood as a structure, consisting of the bearing and the borne.This perception is also valid in large scale.When it comes to buildings you work with the relation of the pillar and the beam. These are are basic components, that guide the design.

The students at the Design Department were asked to connect a found object with a particular material of construction, being wooden sticks of fir.

The found objects ranged from sleeping bags and mirrors to brass pans and magazine holders. The wooden material is left over material from a production of glulam from local production facility.

The idea of the project is to infuse new life into the found by honouring this object.

No virgin materials have been used.
