Designers today have to consider how their work impact the environment.

That’s why we invited designer Rikke Ruhwald who gave the students a difficult assignment: The students had to design a product that could be part of a sustainable cycle. Hence, strict demands in regards to production, materials and use were made.

There were, however, no limitations as to what the students chose to design, as long as their products were “needed in the world”.

During the project the students had to think about sustainability regarding the relevans of the product, the materials, the production, the use of the product etc.
