As designers it becomes more and more important to have methods enabling us to react to what ever falls into our lap. Within a sustainable mindset we no longer have the luxury to choose whatever material we want. Instead we must consider the material available to us, and explore witch options it offers us for self-expression. The students from design were asked to create an outfit out of clothes, donated by Id Identity, that through a quality control process, had been made unusable, and would otherwise have been burned. They had to show they were able, through fabric manipulations, to remove the material from its original context and create their own.
