Spring 2024

Facade & Folly

The students from Architecture have been working with figurative compositions, inspired by the work of John Hejduk.

Each student was assigned a character from Wes Anderson‘s 'The Grand Budapest Hotel’ - which they should use as inspiration for a folly (a playful and expressive building free from function). Through drawings and models of their imagined follies, the students explored themes such as form, organisation, representation and narrative.

At the end of the week, the beautiful drawings and models were exhibited to the rest of the school’s teachers and students.
