The students at the Department of Architecture were introduced to the architect’s essential tools – plan, elevation and the three-dimensional model.
In bricks and wooden sticks the students developed an ‘architecton’; a figure of architectural character that can be experienced from all four sides. The ‘architecton’ is free from function and direction but embraces a spatiality and a formal principle. The focus was the architectural intentions and spatial considerations.
In both photos and drawing, the students aimed to reproduce the material effects of the tiles, together with the special flow of the compositions.
