Space for contemplation

Space for Contemplation. For many contemporary architects, the interplay between humans and architecture is the focal point of their work. They are concerned with questions about our perceptions and sensory experiences of architectural surroundings, how space and physical elements affect us, influence emotions, and direct the mind toward specific moods and ways of being present.

There is a spiritual dimension in this approach to architecture, involving concepts such as ‘atmosphere’ and ‘the essence of place,’ as well as a concrete physical aspect where the body and sensory experience are considered.

The project works phenomenologically with the site, with natural elements and a spiritual dimension that together create a space for contemplation at a selected location. The ideas are conveyed through models and drawings.
