Fall 2023

The Urban Masterplan

The architecture class has been working on the urban masterplan for a week in collaboration with architect MAA Rune Wriedt. The projects were based on contemporary urban planning issues such as climate adaptation, biodiversity, inclusion and diversity, transformation of existing buildings, future mobility patterns, and sustainable housing. After delving into a self-selected theme, the students were tasked with designing a plan for urban development in the local area of Skive, specifically the site around the old, burned-down cooperative slaughterhouse. The process involved creating a series of models at a 1:500 scale. A selection of ambitious proposals was presented to the city during Green Innovation Week 2023.
