Fall 2018

London print

The Design students have been unleashed in the print studio, and have produced a plethora of takes on how screen printing can be used within design.

The students were asked to use their research from the study trip to London as a jumping-off point for a print design, and then consider this in a 3D format.

Layers from a foam chair have been interpreted as a devore print, Bridget Riley has inspired a playful comment on building sites, the seedy underbelly of Soho has given light to a beach chair, motifs from velour lounge furniture turn op on a cycling jersey and the grime of Whitechapel has resulted in an entirely new way of developing screens.
