Floating towers were launched on the Limfjord on a midsummer evening. A more beautiful end to the workshop ‘Floating Towers’ with architect and production designer Ida Lundø Madsen could hardly be wished for.

The architecture students had been given the task of investigating how to work vertically with constructions, which eventually unite into one floating tower as large 1:1 lanterns.

Work was done with light constructions, where the elements of buoyancy, balance, wind, water, expression and light were included in the design process. The towers were created in light wood, bamboo materials and recycled sails.
