Art has been on a study trip to Berlin. A lovely trip to the beautiful city, which offers an unimaginable amount of art and culture. We went on studio visits to, among others, Benn and Sebastian, a Danish artist duo who live in Berlin. We visited galleries with large and interesting exhibitions as well as fantastic art museums, and all of them offered unique experiences.

The task of the week was to choose an artwork from each exhibition that made a big impression on you. When we got back to school, the students presented their chosen artpiece. We had a really good and important talk about the art, what it did, how it was created, and why it resonated with the person who had chosen it. And most importantly: In what way it was an inspiration for your own work.

When you travel, you return home with more in your professional backpack than you left with. And here Berlin is definitely one of Europe’s favorites, always offering something new and different.
