“78-59-87” is a collaborative project between Krabbesholm Højskole’s headmaster and 35 students. Another way of teaching and another way of being taught. The starting point is a series of paintings by Kurt Finsten, cut off the stretcher and then transformed into clothing. Clothes you can wear. But also clothes as sculpture.
The clothes are shown in a raw performance in Henrik Vibskov’s studio on Papirøen. 12 models fight their way through the audience while reciting extracts of a critical text about the fashion industry. Henrik Vibskov plays drums.
After the presentation, the models come in and put the clothes on three white boards with staple guns. The clothes become flat again. Like paintings. It all ends up with a two-minute painting exhibition.
