During the week we worked with the sculpture and the site-specific installation in a shared exhibition situation. We casted in plaster, and worked with the mould, the negative space and the shell. We talked about composition, construction and deconstruction, building up and falling apart in a nuanced process oriented dialogue between artist, material and surrounding space. We visited a stone carver in Fly, talked to Kristine about her experience of seeing Robert Smithson’s works in real life and discussed Jacobs vacuum-casted sculptures.
