Our new art students had a week with painting. First they were given an introduction to different possibilities of painting styles and we watched some short movies with very different contemporary painters. The results of the students work was a lot of very different paintings. Some were mostly interested in how you can manipulate the paints materiality, others worked more with the color and others again were more interested in the motive. As can be deducted from the images, the results were a multitude of funny, interesting and promising paintings. After this week some of the students are hopefully motivated to developed their skills and will find it even more exiting next time they paint.
