The design students have explored two typologies, The Vanity Object and The Kimono. They are interpreted in both hard and soft materials. We emphasize the investigation and testing of ideas before they are translated from sketches into models into finished works. The processes involve inspiration boards, scale models, discussions, construction theory, material theory, chaos, cutting, sewing, sawing, testing, and joy.
