Mosaic Ceramicist Anna Samsøe have joined forces with the students of design to create a large mosaic for the entrance area of Pakhuset. The tradition of mosaic dates back to early civilisations of Mesopotamia, where temples were adorned with pebbles, shells and ivory. Like the pixel based pictures of our times the complex motives of the mosaic is created by small individual pieces. Historically motives of religion, mythology and persons of power have been in favour in traditional work of mosaics. For this mosaic the starting point for the motives have been the sensation of disgust, modelled by the students hands into individual interpretations.
