In German it is called “windspiele”. It is a sort of wind chime, but not necessarily producing sounds. The students were handed a rod of steel, a ball bearing and a disk of medium density fiberboard with a diameter of 40 cm from which they were to construct a device that somehow interacted with the wind. Any material could be added if needed. Finally the 12 “windspiele” was displayed in the garden next to the design workshop.
