Design students took part in Green Innovation Week. One week of collaboration between local business and educational institutions in Skive in the search of sustainable solutions to various challenges. The students were given the task to convert waste to value by Salling Autogenbrug, waste being the unused parts from discarded cars. Guest teacher Bonnie Hvillum, being a regenerative designer, introduced methods and processes to work with material-driven design, meaning that the materials in themselves point to what designed objects they may become. The projects were pitched to the business owner and displayed in the local shoppingmall to show the very different and innovative ways of using left over materials from discarded cars.
