“The plan is the generator” – Le Corbusier
This workshop invited students to explore how architectural form could emerge organically from a floor plan, much like a tree grows from its roots. Through analysis and interpretation, we examined the capacity of plan drawings to suggest spatial experience, function, and structure.
In Phase 1, students developed section drawings and conceptual models to interpret the plan’s spatial potential. During the study trip to Berlin, they carried out on-site observations—through sketches, photography, and text—to enrich these initial readings. In the final phase, insights from the site visit were integrated into the section model using wood elements, generating new architectural narratives grounded in both analysis and experience.
