Architecture in Athens

The architecture department went to Greece’s capital, Athens. The city is historically one of Europe’s most important and through several urban walks, the department got an insight into its meaning. In addition, we visited several buildings – new as well as old. For example, Parthenon (Acropolis) and The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), designed by Renzo Piano. We also visited Aegina, an island outside of Athens, where we had a bus trip and a needed cool down at the beach.
