A bus stop

Architecture comes in all scales, even the slightly smaller formats. A bus stop is an example of a small but important building. In other words, a place that marks where and how to wait for the bus. The students had to research and find a place near where they lived during the lockdown or a place they traveled to in their imagination, and further design a bus stop with a focus on the place’s special conditions, climate and local needs. A quiet Finnish forest, a bustling street in Tokyo and a completely deserted lunar landscape are just some of the many unique places that have been worked on. The task also included paying special attention to creating shelter, visibility, visibility and some degree of comfort for those waiting.
