Krabbesholm’s students have designed three unique benches that are now to be found at Skive Harbor. In a collaboration with Skive City Council, Krabbesholm students have designed “Horisont” , “Kajkant” (by Emil Holck Reimert) and “Sømærket”. In spring 2017, the students from Krabbesholm’s design department delivered a number of sketch models, and presented their ideas for a bench to the urban development committee. Ten unique and fantastic benches with a site-specific design for the harbor were outlined. Three of the benches were selected for production and set-up and are now to be found on the harbor. Kajkant and Horisont are produced by carpenter Henrik Laugesen, Woodwize in Oddense, while Sømærket is produced by Skive College. The benches help to create beautiful and inspiring places to stay and where everyone who uses Skive Harbor can meet, stop and enjoy nature together or alone.
A big thank you to Ruth Kristensen, a member of Skive Municipality’s urban development committee, who helped start the process. In addition, a big thank you to all contributors and partners: Moland, Kaj Ove Madsen and Bertel Gantriis, Spar Vest Fonden, Skive Byudviklingspulje, Søren Yde, Ginnerup A/S.
