Peepshow in a former optician's shop in Istedgade
Exhibition: 25.04.09 - 23.05.09, non-stop
In a display window in a former optician's shop in Istedgade in Copenhagen, you will during the next month have the opportunity to take a peep into another world than the one you normally observe in Istedgade. Instead of spectacle frames and glasses, students' from Krabbesholm Højskole will show some of their works in the two display windows. Two peepshow installations will show the videos of the students 24 hours a day non-stop.
The idea of the exhibition is to give the viewer insight into what absorbs the students at Krabbesholm. Krabbesholm is a folk high school situated next to the inlet Limfjorden, far away from the hectic and noisy city that Istedgade is part of. It is the work of 40 students from the photography and art courses and consists of projects they have worked with during their stay at Krabbesholm spring 2009. You will have the opportunity to see both poetic, quirky, romantic and thoughtful proposals for another world than the one you expect when you walk down the street.
