FirST ASSIGNMENTS

We have chosen to show two assignments, both of them have at the same time been used to learn different photographical techniques and introducing ways of thinking pictures and looking at them.

The first was a paraphrase assignment. The students should find a picture and do a remake of it, not only as a copy but also a interpretation of the original.
At the same time the schools studio and different lights and flashes was introduced. The photographs was used as a tool to start learning and understand Photoshop. And through taking pictures you get more confident with the digital SLR, understanding time, F-stop, focal length etc.

The other assignment was analogue black/white. The assignment focused on light and shadow, the fundamentals in photography. And the word "dramatic" was attached to the assignment.
The pictures was taken with analogue SLR, the school has plenty to lent out.
Also this assignment was at the same time used to learn technical stuff. Develop b/w film and work in our new darkroom. The finished photographs was scanned so they can be shown here. The pictures also show how beautiful mistakes can be, things that are done on purpose and things like dust and scratches, that are hard to avoid when you are still learning.
