NEW NORDIC ARCHITECTURE
27.09-16.10-2013

Krabbesholm has invited four of the leading drawing offices in Scandinavia to give their views on trends regarding contemporary architecture.

— Tham & Videgård Arkitekter, SE
— In Praise of Shadows, SE
— Jensen & Skodvin Architects, NO
— Ja-Ja Architects, DK

All of these four drawing offices have drawn attention to themselves with constructions in the area of tension between contemporary architecture and local construction traditions. Their projects are closely connected to the Nordic traditions with a distinct feel for materials and simplicity. The projects express a rediscovered interest in the local and the regional and are thereby in contrast to international prestigious buildings. It is about people friendly houses where focus in on the usability and functionality of the buildings and their ability to interact with the surroundings.
The opening of the exhibition takes place Friday 27.09.13 at 20.30 in Four Boxes Gallery. The exhibition is open until 16.10.13.
In connection with the exhibition, there is a symposium at Krabbesholm with representatives from all of the four drawing offices giving their views on architecture.
